Refund Policy

Last Updated: July 13, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for paid subscriptions to The Earth App ("we", "our", or "us"). It is written to be generous and easy to use, and it forms part of our Terms of Service. For how we handle your billing data, see our Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place where you live; where those laws give you more, they apply.
1. The Short Version
You can cancel any time with one click, on our website or in our mobile app, and you keep your paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. On top of that, we offer a universal 14-day money-back guarantee: if you ask within 14 days of any charge, you get that charge back in full, no questions asked. The guarantee applies to your first purchase and to every renewal. Free-trial codes never charge you anything, so there is nothing to refund when a trial ends. Purchases made inside the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by those stores, and we will help you through their process.
2. Our 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Every subscription charge comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you request a refund within 14 days of the date a charge was made, we refund that charge in full to your original payment method, and your account returns to the free tier. You do not need to give a reason. This guarantee resets on every billing cycle, so it covers not only your first purchase but also each monthly renewal: if a renewal charge is made and you decide within 14 days that you no longer want it, that renewal is fully refundable. This 14-day window supersedes any shorter refund period that might otherwise apply to your purchase and is offered in addition to the statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights described in the sections below. Where a longer refund right applies to you by law, that longer right governs.
A few practical points. The refund window is measured from the moment of the charge you are asking us to refund. A day-13 or day-14 request is inside the window and is honored in full; a request made after day 14 falls under Section 5 below. Because the guarantee already returns the full amount, we do not prorate or partially charge for the time you used the service during the window.
3. How to Request a Refund or Cancel
There are three easy ways to act on your subscription. First, cancel from your account: open your billing settings on our website or the Subscription screen in our mobile app and select Cancel. If you cancel while you are still inside the 14-day window, we process it as a full refund automatically. Second, you can manage payment details and cancellation through the secure billing portal we provide for web subscriptions. Third, you can email us any time at support@earth-app.com and we will take care of it for you. We do not make you call a phone line, sit through a retention offer, or complete any extra steps beyond what it took to subscribe.
4. Cancellation and Access After You Cancel
Canceling stops future renewals. If you cancel outside the 14-day money-back window, you keep access to your paid tier until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again; we do not claw back the remaining days of that period. If you cancel inside the 14-day window, we refund the charge in full and your paid access ends when the refund is issued. Either way, we confirm your cancellation by email and in the app. Canceling a paid subscription does not delete your account; you keep your free-tier account and content unless you choose to delete the account separately.
5. Refunds After the 14-Day Window
After 14 days, a charge is generally non-refundable, because canceling simply stops the next renewal while you keep access through the end of the current period. That said, we handle refund requests fairly and will issue a refund outside the window where the law requires it or where the circumstances warrant it, such as a duplicate or erroneous charge, a charge you did not authorize, an extended service outage that prevented you from using what you paid for, or a billing mistake on our side. If you believe a charge was wrong, contact support@earth-app.com and we will review it promptly.
6. EU and UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To withdraw, send us a clear statement of your decision before the 14-day period ends, for example by emailing support@earth-app.com. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. When you withdraw in time, we refund all payments for the withdrawn subscription without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are told, using the same payment method you used. We begin your paid access immediately at your request, but we do not deduct any amount for the time you used the service before withdrawing, and we never ask you to give up your withdrawal right. Our 14-day money-back guarantee is built to match or exceed these protections.
Model withdrawal form. To The Earth App, support@earth-app.com: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following subscription, ordered on [date], account [username or email]. Signed [your name], dated [date].
7. Quebec and Other Canadian Consumers
If you are a consumer in Quebec, your purchase is covered by the Consumer Protection Act, including the amendments made by Bill 10. You can cancel your contract at any time with a single click, we send you a notice before an automatic renewal converts, and any fee charged improperly (for example, a renewal you were not properly notified of, or a charge after a valid cancellation) is refunded to you. These rights apply in addition to our 14-day money-back guarantee, and where they give you more than this policy, they govern. Consumers elsewhere in Canada keep all rights granted by their provincial or territorial consumer-protection laws.
8. California and Other US State Auto-Renewal Rights
Our paid plans are automatically renewing subscriptions. Before you are charged, we disclose the recurring price, the monthly billing frequency, and how to cancel, and we obtain your express consent to those terms. You can cancel online at any time without calling us. These practices follow the United States Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) and state automatic-renewal laws, including the California Automatic Renewal Law, New York General Business Law Section 527-a, and the automatic-renewal laws of Colorado, Minnesota, Utah, and Virginia. Where a state law requires a renewal or price-change reminder or a specific cancellation method, we provide it, and where it gives you a refund right, we honor it.
9. Free-Trial Codes
Free-trial codes unlock a paid tier for a limited time at no cost. They never require a credit card, they do not convert into a paid subscription, and they never place a charge on you. When a code-based trial ends, your account simply returns to the free tier unless you actively choose to subscribe. Because a trial code never charges you, there is nothing to refund when it ends. Trial codes may have redemption limits and expiration dates, are limited to one per account, are non-transferable, and have no cash value.
10. Purchases Made Through Apple or Google
If you subscribed inside our iOS or Android application, your subscription is billed, managed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded by the Apple App Store or Google Play under that store's terms, not by us directly. To cancel or request a refund for a store-billed subscription, use the subscription settings of the applicable store; our app links you to the right place. Apple and Google set their own refund rules, which can differ from a purchase made on our website, so a store may handle a request differently than we would. If a store declines a refund that our 14-day guarantee would have covered, contact support@earth-app.com and we will do what we can to make it right. You can hold only one active Earth App subscription at a time across web and mobile.
11. Price Changes and Renewal Reminders
We may change subscription prices from time to time. If a price increase would affect you, we give you advance notice before it takes effect, sent about 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day beforehand, with a confirmation at the first charge at the new price. This notice is a required part of your subscription, so it is a transactional message you cannot unsubscribe from while you hold a paid plan. A price change never applies retroactively and only affects renewals on or after its effective date, and you may cancel before it takes effect if you do not accept it. We also send a reminder ahead of each renewal so a charge never comes as a surprise.
12. How and When Refunds Are Paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once we issue a refund, it usually reaches your account within a few business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer and, for store purchases, on Apple or Google. We do not charge a fee to process a refund. If you paid in a currency other than United States dollars, your bank's exchange rate at the time of the refund may differ slightly from the rate at purchase, which is outside our control.
13. Chargebacks
Because we offer easy one-click cancellation and a no-questions 14-day refund, please contact support@earth-app.com before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer, so we can resolve it quickly, usually with an immediate refund. Nothing here limits your rights under the United States Fair Credit Billing Act or similar laws to dispute genuine billing errors with your issuer. We may investigate chargebacks and, in cases of clear fraud or abuse, limit the associated account, but we will never penalize a good-faith dispute or a legitimate billing-error claim.
14. Contact Us
